Comprehensive Review Of America’s First Major Diet Plan
About Jenny Craig
Jenny Craig is a weight loss plan that offers you 20 pounds weight loss for $20, and they now give you a video tour, affordable options according to their advertising, and a free weight loss profile among other things. They feature celebrities and various other tactics.
Background
Jenny Craig was the first major diet plan to ever hit the United States. They started out using prepackaged meals. But as we saw with Kirstie Alley, people couldn’t keep eating that food forever and didn’t learn new habits. Since then, they have changed a bit and now offer dozens of helpful recipes.
Pros
They now have recipe plans, and the prepackaged meals can be convenient for some. They provide people with foods that have been reported to have a descent taste, and they have history that beats all other options.
Cons
Unfortunately, they do the same thing as others. They provide you with options that are not healthy in reality. But you think they are, so you keep eating the way you always did expecting to lose weight. They don’t teach you healthy eating habits, and many fail for various reasons. Even their recipes are faulty and deceiving.
Jenny Craig Conclusion
While Jenny Craig has attempted to revamp and remodel themselves, they have yet to succeed in that venture. They still have the same old tactics many others have taken on, and with Jenny Craig, unfortunately it seems users are destined to fail.

“The Jenny Craig weekly menues advise clients to add fresh fruits and veggies, as well as dairy. They teach their clients about portions and the importance of eating a BALANCED diet. If a client chooses to ONLY eat pre-packaged foods, they are NOT following the Jenny Craig plan, as it is written. They will not learn to prepare fruits and veggies, and many times, overweight people don\\\'t have a diet rich in fresh produce. rnrnIn my opinion, Jenny Craig is what I like to call, \\\"Weight Watchers with a Personal Chef.\\\" During the hard first 1/2 of desired weight loss, the center helps make food choices, and they then start requiring clients to select their own menu and eventually cook their own food with standard grocery items.”

“Today I was dismissed from Jenny Craig because I was not buying enough meals. I was losing weight and buying some food. When I paid $300 to join I was told I did not have to buy the 21 meals a week. Now the manager has stepped in and the bottom line is profit. Buy or leave. I will leave. They are a very unethical company that should be investigated.”

“If you don\\\'t follow it it won\\\'t work. Teaches portion size. Expensive. Time consuming to go pick it up. Did not work for me. Very good if you can follow it.”

“At first glance, the Jenny Craig program seems to be one that truly cares about its clients. I\\\'m here to tell you that nothing could be further from the truth. The consultants have no real knowledge of nutrition outside of the their own products, which they continuously pressure you to purchase, and at its core, the program is only concerned about money. I stopped eating their food, finding better and healthier alternatives, and I have been so much more successful with my weight loss. I eventually stopped going to their centers after being faslely told that I was required to purchase a certain amount of their products in order to maintain my membership, and I have since lost more than 3 times the weight that I did when I went to regular weigh-ins and consultations. Don\\\'t waste your money--if you stick to a well-balanced, low-fat diet, you can be so successful. I didn\\\'t need them, and neither do you!”
